Chronology of all the events related to REALMA starting from the submission of the project.

2004-2005

  1. September 2004 : Submission of the project "Establishment of a regional network in mathematics" to the Single Programming Document of Guadeloupe 2005-2006 for regional cooperation, with co-financing of FEDER and FIDOM.
  2. September 2004 : Yboon Garcia begins a PhD in mathematics under joint supervision in UAG and IMCA, with a grant from CONCYTEC (Peru) and the Embassy of France in Lima.
  3. November 2004 : Yboon Garcia begins her 8 month stay at UAG, as part of her PhD program under joint supervision in IMCA-UAG
  4. February 2005 : Notification of including of the project "Establishment of a regional network in mathematics" in the Single Programming Document 2000-2006 of Guadeloupe for 2005-2007, for a total amount of 138 601 euros (of which 60 056 euros from UAG)
  5. 2005-2007 : Multiple assignments aimed at implementation of REALMA project are carried out from January 2005 to March 2007.
  6. September 2005 : Jorge Barrios began a PhD in mathematics under joint supervision at UAG and University of Havana, with financial support from the Embassy of France in Cuba.
  7. December 2005 : Submission of the project "SARMAC" (Support for research in applied mathematics in the Caribbean), to the Regional Cooperation Fund (FCR) of Guadeloupe, financed jointly by FCR, territorial councils, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of France in Cuba, CIMPA, the MODE-SMAI group, UAG and the University of Havana, aimed at implementing the REALMA project in the Carribean (Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic), on December 9th, 2005
  8. December 2005 : Seminar "Implementation of REALMA" in Guadeloupe, December 12-16, 2005, bringing together representatives of 11 partnering institutions:UBA (Argentina), IMPA (Brazil), CMM (Chile), UH (Cuba), UEH (Haiti), IMCA (Peru), CNRS (French Guiana), IUFM (Guadeloupe), ENPC (France), CIMPA (France-Unesco) and UAG; signing of agreements with partners and opening up the network statement in the presence of Regional Prefect, the Rector of the Academy, representatives of the territorial councils and the Mayor of Pointe-à-Pitre, on December 16th, 2005.

  9. January 2006 : One-month stay of Jorge Barrios (University of Havana, Cuba) at UAG as part of his PhD program under joint supervision at UH-UAG
  10. January 2006 : 6 month stay of Yboon Garcia (IMCA, Peru) at UAG, as part of her PhD program under joint supervision IMCA-UAG, funded by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research
  11. January 2006 : The project SARMAC is accepted by the Regional Cooperation Fund of Gouadeloupe for 2006-2009, for total amount of 193885 euros (of which 3900 from UAG),on January 13th, 2006
  12. Mars 2006 : Participation and presentations of Yboon Garcia, Marc Lassonde and Alain Piétrus (Guadeloupe) at the "7th International Conference on Operations Research" (Havana, Cuba), March 27-31, 2006

  15. June 2006 : On June 27th, 2006, University of Cali (Colombia) becomes the 12th partner institution in REALMA, with Dr. Olga Vasilieva as representative,

August 2006 : Submission of the project "MOD" (Mathematical Optimization and Decision), under the Franco-Peruvian network RAUL PORRAS BARRENECHEA (RPB), funded by the Embassy of France in Peru and DREIC, involving IMCA (Peru), Blaise Pascal University and the University of Perpignan, on August 15th, 2006
  17. September 2006 : Master's program "Mathematics and Modeling" at UAG, years 2006-2007: participation of four Haitian students, lectures by H. Arazoza (Cuba)
  18. September 2006 : four-month research stay of Florence Jules (Guadeloupe) at CMM in Santiago de Chile, as part of a CNRS delegation
  19. September 2006 : 10 month research stay of Yboon Garcia (IMCA, Peru) as part of her PhD program, jointly supervised at IMCA-UAG, financed by part-time lecturing

  22. November 2006 : One-week trip of Robert Janin (Guadeloupe) to the Dominican Republic to establish contact with the officials of Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo
  23. November 2006 : One-week trip of Robert Janin (Gouadeloupe) to Haiti to present a draft of the Master's program "Mathematics and Modeling" to local officials (including the Prime minister)
  24. December 2006 : Participation and presentation of Florence Jules and Marc Lassonde (Guadeloupe) at the "International Conference on Mathematics", IMCA, Lima (Peru), December 4-8, 2006
  25. December 2006 : Participation of M. Lassonde in the round table organized by P. Quidel from the Directorate for Scientific and University Cooperation of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the ai of establishing a cooperation network "Math-AmSud", on December 6th, 2006 at IMCA, Lima (Peru). The program started in May 2008.
  26. December 2006 : Two-month stay of Jorge Barrios (University of Havana, Cuba) at UAG, as part of his PhD jointly supervised at UH and UAG.

  28. May 2007 : One-week trip of Alain Piétrus (Guadeloupe) to Havana (Cuba) with the purpose of doctoral supervision of Jorge Barrios, jointly supervised at UH-UAG.
  29. May 2007 : The project "MOD" is accepted by the network RPB, with duration of three years (2007-2009) and the total sum 22 500 euros

December 2007 : Submission of the project Math-Haïti (Teaching Mathematics at Bachelor's and Master's Levels in the Caribbean), under the Regional Cooperation Fund (FCR) of Guadeloupe, co-financed by FCR, the Embassy of France in Haiti, UAG and the State University of Haiti, aimed at introduction of the UAG Master's program "Mathematics and Modeling" at ENS of the State University of Haiti
  44. December 2007 : The project Math-Haïtiis accepted by the Regional Cooperation Fund of Guadeloupe for 2008-2010, with the total amount of 93 467 euros (of which 29 931 euros from UAG), on December 28th, 2007

  55. July 2008 : On July 10th, 2008, the project MATAPPLI is accepted by Latin American Master's program PREFALC, fo the years 2008-2010, total amount 31 820 euros (of which 18 020 euros from participation of partners and other projects)
